In a powerful new collaboration fusing musical past and present, Pulitzer Prize-winning composer and MacArthur Fellow Julia Wolfe is composing a major new work for acclaimed pianist and composer Conrad Tao and Third Coast Percussion. Wolfe’s work will be presented in dialogue with a beloved classic of the piano repertoire by Claude Debussy, re-imagined for piano and percussion quartet. A new work by Tao for TCP rounds out this evening of virtuosic music-making.
