Fall For Dance North – ONLINE

Third Coast Percussion is thrilled to return to Fall For Dance North, presenting the world premiere of FLOW: a new collaboration with world-renowned, Tkaronto-based Indigenous company Red Sky Performance.

Third Coast and Red Sky will open Fall for Dance North's Signature program, which features six world premieres by Canadian dancers across genres.

Led by Red Sky Artistic Director Sandra Laronde, this collaborative, multidisciplinary production features choreography by Red Sky Associate Artist Jera Wolfe and music by Third Coast Percussion. The work is inspired in part by, and includes music from, Third Coast’s musical album titled Paddle to the Sea which was itself created in response to the Canadian children’s book and National Film Board film of the same name.

"A feast for the senses. Complex and layered, Red Sky’s productions integrate story, imagery, sound and movement in a textured and shifting journey. Third Coast’s deep percussive pulse combines with Wolfe’s energetic choreography, evoking the elemental serenity and power of water."

FLOW is commissioned by FFDN with additional support from Neighborhood Dance Works (St John’s NL).
