David Longstreth 

David Longstreth is widely recognized as the lead vocalist, guitarist and songwriter of the indie rock band Dirty Projectors. Inspired by the notion that percussion quartet is as central to chamber music in the 21st century as the string quartet was in centuries past, he brings his distinct songwriting sensibilities to his first-ever work for percussion quartet. This 20’ multi movement work is set to premiere in early 2027.

Conrad Tao

A leader among a new generation of classical musicians, Conrad Tao is in high demand as a piano virtuoso and composer of new music for some of the world’s leading chamber music ensembles, soloists, and orchestras. TCP is pleased to work collaboratively with Conrad as he creates a new work for percussion quartet that will appear on a variety of touring programs for the ensemble in 2027 and beyond.
